On August 16, 1947, Mao Zedong came to Jiaxian County with the central authority of Shaanxi Province, and lived for 100 days and nights in 15 villages.

On October 17, Mao Zedong moved from Shenquan Fort to Jiaxian County, and entered the county seat of Jiaxian County for investigation. On this day, Jiaxian County Committee held a meeting of district cadres in the county seat to study the work of subdivisions.

In order to commemorate the only inscription given to county party committees in his lifetime, Jiaxian County Party Committee resumed construction of Chairman Mao’s old residence and displayed the inscription memorial.
