On October 16th, hosted by Shaanxi History Museum and sponsored by the Yellow River Cultural Museum and the Yellow River Basin Museum Alliance, the "Protection, Inheritance and Promote - High Quality Development of Small and Medium-sized Museums in the Yellow River Basin" co-organized by Shaanxi Provincial Museum Association was held in Jia County, Yulin.

In the context of a new era, we promote the high-quality development of small museums in the Yellow River Basin and better play its important role in preserving, inheriting and promoting the Yellow River culture is an important topic for us to consider. Hou Ningbin hopes to bring together wisdom and strength through this seminar, jointly explore the paths and strategies of high-quality development of small and medium-sized museums in the Yellow River Basin.

“Jia County is located in the hinterland of Qinjin Huang River Grand Canyon, 73 kilometers through the county area, accounting for 10% of the Yellow River Valley in Shaanxi. In recent years, we have adopted cultural tourism as the first industry in high-quality economic development of the county, making full use of the resources of ‘Red, Yellow River and White Cloud Mountain’ to actively promote the deep integration of Yellow River culture with red culture, yellow soil culture, agricultural culture and Shaanxi folk culture. Jiaxian will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation along Huangxian city, enrich the content of exhibition and innovative ways of exhibition, focusing on the historical and cultural landmarks of Shaanxi Yellow River.

At the opening ceremony of the seminar, Shaanxi History Museum helped Shaanxi Yellow River Culture Museum sign agreement.

The theme of the seminar was: “Knowing Qinghai, Ai Qinghai, Xingqinghai—the era of the Qinghai Museum Alliance as the era of the Qinghai Museum Alliance”, “Sichuan Museum Assists the High Quality Development Practice of Small and Medium-sized Museums in Sichuan Province”, “From the evolution of the cultural landscape of “Early China” to see the status and role of Yellow River culture and museum cooperation”. The seminar also held two sub-forums on “Regional Exchange Cooperation and the Development of Small and Medium Museums in Yellow River Basin” and “Young Talent Drives Museum Development”.

The Yellow River River originates from the Qinghai Plateau, flowing through the Helai Plain and Yellow Earth Plateau, covering nine provincial districts. Along the way, it leaves Yellow River Culture, Helai Culture, Qinlong Culture, Guanzhong Culture, Sanjin Culture, Helo Culture, Qilu Culture and other distinctive regional cultures are like a string of brilliant pearls.

Shaanxi Museum of History held the third rotating unit of the Yellow River Basin Museum Alliance, with strong support from various member units, has successfully carried out a lot of fruitful work. The organization coordinated the editorial and publication of the nine volume series "Roots and Souls - Yellow River Civilization in National Treasures", supported by holding academic exchanges "Museums Help the Construction of Yellow River National Cultural Park" and co-organized the "Silk Road Elite Exchange: Silk Road - Huang River - Archaeology and Image International" academic seminar, hosted the "Practical Workshop on Bronze Civilization of Yellow River Valley" and convened the "2024 Yellow River Museum and Art Gallery Light Environment Forum." In order to strengthen the online outreach and promote the effectiveness of cultural communication, we have held events such as “Seeking the Soul of the Yellow River – The Legend of Dragons” and “Dragons Telling the Story of Heritage of the Yellow River” and “Mountains Fengchun National Treasure” along the Huang Jiu Provincial Museum.
