The Yellow River is the cradle of the Chinese nation. Water is the basis of life, and the birth of human civilization is closely linked to rivers. Ancient Yellow River basins are lush and dense with tributaries, from west to east across much of northern China.

After more than 5,000 years of baptism, the Yellow River has become the mother river of recognition and pride of Chinese children at home and abroad, becoming a symbol of the Chinese nation and a symbol of Chinese civilization. The evolution of ancient humans in China, the formation of the Chinese nation and the evolution of Chinese civilization can find its source and key nodes in the Yellow River Basin.

General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that "over 5000 years of civilization in China, the Yellow River Basin has been the national political, economic and cultural center for more than 3000 years."
