From January 1 to January 3, 2026, “Retrace the Yellow River” series of activities kicks off. Eight wonderful plates come together, allowing you to read the Yellow River civilization in an immersive experience and start the new year with laughter!

History of the Anti-Japanese War in Suide

Over the years, “The Yellow River Witness – The History of the Suide Division’s Anti-Japanese War Photo Exhibition” begins in Museum Square! Focusing on the history of the Suide Division from 1937 to 1945, eight units of precious historical material recreate the story of river defense and civil war.

The Yellow River Documenta

The Yellow River Cultural Museum of Shaanxi and the Ningxia Library have selected the Yellow River theme from source flow, water conservancy, poetry to Running stories. Four plates show the historical vicissitudes and humanities of the Yellow River.

III. Exhibition of works

The exhibition "Our Chinese Dream - Culture Enters Ten Thousand Families" will be exhibited in the pedestrian street: the moving lines of paper cutting, the colorful colors of embroidery, the rustic texture of wood carvings, the vivid shape of mud plastic, the exquisite appearance of face flowers.

The light of the night scene at Shaanxi Yellow River Culture Museum, takes technology as the pen and culture as the soul, creating an immersive visual feast. Laser accurately outlines the spiritual patterns of paper cuts in Shaanxi North, dynamic light and shadow change with rhythm, interweaving the full form of red jujube with the red rhyme of Oriental red.

5. Non-Holiday Theater Show

The Yellow River Civilisation

Every day at 9:30, 10:30, 13:30 and 14:30, four “Exploring the Yellow River Civilization” public benefit talks open on time! Each 45-minute session is limited to 50 people. Reservations can be made in advance by official public number or consultation phone.

Red Story Sharing Session on the Yellow River

Oriental Red Bookstore and Shenquan Fort Revolution Memorial will hold a “Red Story Sharing Session on the banks of the Yellow River”!

Dr. Chang Jingyu, Associate Professor of Archaeology at Yulin College, will share the topic “Shaanbei Plateau on the night before the dawn of the Yellow River and the night before civilization”. Experts in prehistoric northern archaeology will take you through time and space to discover the origin code of the Yellow River civilization on the Shaanxi Plateau.
