“The Yellow River comes from the sky, and runs to the sea.” When the waters of the Qinghai Tibetan Plateau came down from the sky, the vastness of the way into the arms of Yulin, a thousand years of culture and autumn covenant began here.
The Yellow River flows through 389 kilometers in Yulin, accounting for 54% of Shaanxi section of the Yellow River. The meandering Great Wall and the rushing Yellow River "handshake" together to write a historical chapter of the magical land of Yulin.
The Yellow River, as the great mother river of the Chinese nation, has become a magnificent animated volume when it flows through Yulin. Starting from the head of the Fugu Wall, this is where the Yellow River enters the First Bay of Shaanxi.
“The Yellow River comes from the west to the Kunlun, roaring thousands of miles against the Dragon Gate.” This scene makes one lament the ghost work of nature. Not far away, the ancient ruins of the Great Wall stand still as a vicissitudes silently witnessing the millennial changes of the Yellow River and Yulin.
On the banks of the Yellow River in Shenmu, there are many ancient villages which preserve a large number of ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing period. The green brick gray tiles and flying eaves do arches exude a rich historical atmosphere.
Baiyun Mountain is located on the west bank of the Yellow River. Founded in Song Dynasty, Baiyun Mountain reached its peak during the Ming and Qing period, it is the largest Taoist complex in northwest China.
Jiaxian not only has the famous Shaanxi Yellow River Culture Museum, but also the ancient town of Mudhegou millennium jujube forest, Chiniu Qilu Folk Village, and the actual performance of "A Cow on a High Mountain", there is also a unique folk activity - "Yellow River Nine Quhenge".
In Wubao, the Yellow River seems to be very patronizing, leaving behind a style and story passed from generation to generation. The Yellow River stone pillow is a long-standing folk technique, made of yellow river stone as raw material, carefully carved.
The stone carvings are not only an artistic creation of the people of Suide, but also a vehicle for Yellow River culture. It embodies the wisdom and love of life of the people of Suide.
The red tourism and rural tourism of Suide are in full swing, folk songs and yang songs are also unique. Whenever night falls, the square on the banks of the county town and the Yellow River will sound cheerful music.
Located on the west bank of Qinjin Grand Canyon, Qingjian County at the intersection of Yellow River and Undated River, is "China's Land of Love" and "Chinese Red Date Land". Every year the Red Date Festival attracts many tourists to visit.
Dajube is a symbol of the Yellow Land’s agricultural culture, but also a symbol of the hard work and cultural heritage of the ancient people of Yulin to carry on the Yellow River.
According to the editorial department of China Yellow River Tourism Yearbook, the Golden Autumn Festival will be hosted by Yulin Municipal People's Government and sponsored by Yulin City Culture and Tourism Bureau and Jiaxian People's Government. The theme of 2025 Shaanxi Yellow River Cultural Tourism Month is "Zaoer Red on the banks of the Yellow River" as the theme of 2025.
