"Yellow River Cultural Dialogue" Decoding Shaanxi Civilization Code

On October 12, 2025, Shaanxi Yellow River Culture and Tourism Month series of activities kicked off at the Shaanxi Yellow River Culture Museum. Wang Jianling, a national-level heritage "Shaanbei folk proverbs" inheritor, led the dialogue with Li Jinli, deputy director of the museum, to unlock the symbiotic password of the Yellow River civilization and Shaanxi culture through live broadcast to the vast netizens and viewers.

“Let the museum speak to the cultural heritage exhibition, which is the beginning of our dialogue activities.” Li Jinli emphasized that the Yellow River is the root of Chinese civilization and Shaanxi is the “cultural gene pool” in its roots.

In the dialogue, Wang Jianling system, which became "Shaanbei Culture Living Dictionary", decodes the rich connotations of Shaanxi culture and proposes three unique perspectives that define "Shaanbei Concept": administratively covers Yan'an, Yulin two cities, geographically extends to Yijun County, Tongchuan and other regions.

"The essence of Shaanxi folklore is the Yellow River folklore, and culture'walking water not walking the mountain'." Wang Jianliang discusses the spiritual and material dimensions. Spiritual level, moral self-discipline of blind people speaking books, reproductive worship of paper clipping "crap bun dolls", fertility rituals derived from the "Story Sutra" form the cultural imprint of the Yellow River.

Li Yongyuan is the creator of "Eastern Red", who saw the sunrise in the east, compared Chairman Mao to the sun and composed the classic lyrics of "Eastern Red, Sun Rise".

Li Jinli unveiled the “Cultural Evidence Library” of Yellow River Cultural Museum: “Angmi Lives on the Shore” theme exhibition presents Millennium Date Culture through scene recovery, “Civilization Dawn Shines in Kyushu” featuring artifacts from stone ruins reproducing 4,000 years ago.

The Yellow River is the "East and West axis" of Chinese civilization, along with the Great Wall and Qin Straight Path, which promotes the integration of civilizations. Jiaxian folk song "Ninety-nine Road Bay" is a vivid picture of this civilization.

Wang Jianling demonstrated the beauty of rhyme such as "Mao Chuchu" and "White Lives Matter", explaining the ancient sound of "Go to the street" reading "Gāi Go up" in dialect, laughingly calling it "more ancient rhyme" reading Tang poetry.

The dialogue is based on the Shaanxi Yellow River Culture Museum. Through its in-depth cultural analysis, interpretation of cultural relics, folklore displays, dialect interaction and other diverse forms, the rich connotation of Shaanxi culture and the spirit of the Yellow River.

According to the introduction, as a series of actions by Shaanxi Yellow River Culture Museum to spread the culture of the Yellow River to the public, it will also launch dialogue activities such as "Yangge Land and Shaanxi North Yange", "Yanghe Echo in Shaanxi Folk Songs" and "Big River Touting into Painting".
