On February 9, an exchange event on revolutionary heritage and joint Party-building activities took place at the Northern Shaanxi Folk Song Museum. It aimed to preserve revolutionary traditions and strengthen regional cooperation among museums. The event was jointly organized by the Yuyang District Memorial Hall and Museum Management Service Center, Suide Revolutionary Memorial Hall, Shaanxi Yellow River Culture Museum and Yangjiagou Revolutionary Memorial Hall in Mizhi County. Museum Director Xue Xiaohua attended on behalf of the Shaanxi Yellow River Culture Museum.

Participants toured the Northern Shaanxi Folk Song Museum with a guide, learning about the historical development, artistic characteristics and underlying spirit of the region’s folk songs. Classic works such as Shandandan Flowers Bloom Brilliant Red and The Yellow River Boatmen’s Song revealed the close connection between the Loess Plateau’s folk traditions and revolutionary heritage, and the depth of Yellow River culture.

The discussion was chaired by Xu Ping, Discipline Committee Member and Deputy Director of the Yuyang District Memorial Hall and Museum Management Service Center. Hu Gaojun, its Party Secretary and Director, delivered welcoming remarks. Pu Peng, Deputy Director of Suide Revolutionary Memorial Hall; Xue Xiaohua, Director of the Shaanxi Yellow River Culture Museum; and Liu Cuixia, Deputy Director of Yangjiagou Revolutionary Memorial Hall, spoke on bringing revolutionary heritage into contemporary use, promoting Yellow River culture and improving the protection of revolutionary sites.

The institutions agreed to establish regular cooperation through joint Party-building work. They will deepen collaboration in touring exhibitions, sharing historical materials and public education, bringing renewed vitality to revolutionary heritage, Yellow River culture and folk traditions.

The visit and discussion strengthened relationships among the museums and established a basis for sharing resources, combining strengths and developing together. The Shaanxi Yellow River Culture Museum will continue to cooperate with other cultural institutions, explore the richness of Yellow River heritage and develop new ways to communicate it, contributing to its preservation and to regional museum cooperation.
